A very dry, thirst slaking, burst of citrus and sea mist.
Vineyard: Grown in Redesdale, this vineyard, formerly known as ‘Rupert’s Ridge’ is located in the cooler southern part of the Heathcote wine region. The vineyard is planted on a ridge of sedimentary rock. Bluestone, quartz, and mudstone come together, creating incredibly impactful wines.
Winemaking: Whole bunch pressed to stainless steel, fermented on full lees. Rested on full lees over winter, and racked just before bottling. An incredibly tightly coiled Vermentino, with all the normal citrusy-sea spray varietal flavours, underpinned by an intensity, and structure, not often associated with the variety.
