Made in the style of a typical 'bistrot' red. Juicy, fresh, with savoury overtones - the perfect accompaniment to a entrecôte, or even a backyard BBQ.
Vineyard:
From a certified Sustainable vineyard north of Heathcote, grown with care by Hugh and Missy. This warmer site suits Grenache, with bright vibrant wines being produced off this site. This was our last pick to come in for vintage 2024.
Winemaking
1/3 undergoes carbonic maceration for 14 days, after which it is foot stomped, and left to ferment as whole bunches for 20 days. The other 2/3 was all destemmed, and fermented on skins for around 20 days. After ferment, the wine is pressed off, and raised in large format old oak.
