- Vineyard
From Faraday, about five mins down the road from our winery in Harcourt. Sandy granitic soils, grown at high elevation, around 475m, on the cool south side of Mt Alexander. A few locals have nicknamed the vineyard site Leanganook - this is the indigenous name for Mt Alexander.
- Winemaking
Three separate picks over ten days for different textural elements. All destemmed, and fermented on skins for an average of 10 days. 90% aged in old oak, with 10% aged in stainless for some fresh zing. All wild ferment, full malolactic fermentation in the spring, bottled unfiltered.
